Sky+ finally made it’s way into my house this weekend and I have to say what a fabulous piece of kit it is. Now I know there are some that beleive the best course of action when looking for a PVR is Tivo, sadly however, this little box of wonders just never got the backing it deserved and this makes it hard to get hold of one today.
Big watchers of Sky digital will know the feeling, 900 channels and not a bloodt thing on. This is because all the channels save the good stuff for when people will watch them, the problem with this is this means all the good stuff is on at the same time. The solution is Sky+. I spent most of yesterday watching something while Sky+ noiselessly recorded something else.
I had attempted to create a similar PVR set up on my PC but by the time I’d finished it had cost me a lot more than Sky+ and was no where near as easy to use.
