Thank god Steven Gerrard is staying at liverpool. I don’t only say this because I love Liverpool Football Club, but also because I love football. It shows that no matter how much money Chelsea have got, there is some players you just can’t buy.
Personally I can’t see why so many top players have this desire to play for Chelsea. When Abromovich gets bored of Chelsea and leaves, the club can’t afford the wages they are currently paying, where will the players go then. It was reported that Steven Gerrard would be given £120,000 a week if he had gone. If Roman had left and the money was no longer there which team could afford to match those wages in the current climate? I’m not saying Abromovich would sell up and walk away, but he as been looking closely at F1 recently.
