With the european court turning down Microsoft’s appeal does this signal the end of the software giant, sounds like good news but isn’t it always better the devil you know?
and another thing, If microsoft are forced to remove Media Player from the Windows bundle does this means brand spanking new PC’s will arrive for christmas with the hardware but not the software capable of playing media files? I don’t know what companies like Apple are scared of with this though, Media Player for me has always been the one you get free with windows, nice and handy to have a first but defunct once you get something superior downloaded like iTunes or Musicmatch. Personally I’m currently using Creative MediaSource because it can talk to my Zen Touch MP3 player. Will this also mean they will be told to remove internet explorer as well? This again wouldn’t be a bas thing in the long run because Mozilla’s Firefox is far superior but it would still leave everyone with nothing to start off with. Of course if you’re reading this none of that matters because you’ve obviouslt got a browser of some description. However, if you are unfortunate enough to be using IE please get Firefox it is much better. (Other browsers are also availible.)
Please Note: If parts of or all of this doesn’t make sense please see this post for the reasons why.
